The Chicago is a study in quiet utility. A hardwood frame, a gas-lift mechanism tuned for one-hand operation, and precision-joined construction — all assembled by hand in our Yorkshire workshop.
Concealed Storage
A full-width ottoman compartment sits beneath the mattress platform. The gas-lift mechanism opens with a single hand — engineered for smooth, silent operation, thousands of cycles over.
Solid Hardwood Frame
Sustainably sourced hardwood forms the structural core. Certified to hold up to 50 stones as standard, or 100 stones with the reinforced base — built to outlast a decade of nightly use.
Effortless Gas-Lift
Hydraulic pistons take the weight so you don’t have to. Open or close the base one-handed, tested for over 10,000 cycles before a single unit leaves the workshop.
Matching Headboard
A coordinated 26-inch headboard is included at no extra cost. Upgrade to the 54-inch floor-standing option for a more commanding presence — both expertly finished in-house.
Every Chicago bed is built to order in our Batley workshop. Frames are joined by hand, bases stretched and finished in-house — nothing leaves until it meets our bench.

Yes. Every Almabeds product is tested and certified to fully comply with UK fire and safety standards.
02 • How long does delivery take?
You select your preferred delivery date at checkout. The courier sends tracking and a final time slot before the day.

Sleep on it for 60 nights. If the bed doesn’t suit you, we’ll arrange a hassle-free collection — no lengthy process.
04 • Can I pay in instalments?
No — For now we are only offering Card Payments.
05 • Where are Almabeds made?
Every bed is handcrafted in West Yorkshire, in a region with a long legacy of quality furniture manufacturing.
06 • What does the 5-year guarantee cover?
Structural integrity and craftsmanship. Should you experience any issue within five years, our team arranges repair, replacement, or a suitable resolution.
This bed is assembled by hand in our West Yorkshire workshop and guaranteed against manufacturing defects for a period of five years from date of delivery.
