The Athens is a study in quiet utility. A hardwood frame, smooth-glide drawers tuned for effortless daily use, and precision-joined construction — all assembled by hand in our Yorkshire workshop.
Built-In Drawer Storage
Generous pull-out drawers sit neatly within the divan base — ideal for bed linen, seasonal clothing, or everyday essentials. Configuration varies by size: 2 drawers on smaller bases, up to 4 drawers on Double, King and Super King.
Solid Hardwood Frame
Sustainably sourced hardwood forms the structural core. Certified to hold up to 50 stones as standard, or 100 stones with the reinforced base — built to outlast a decade of nightly use.
Smooth-Glide Runners
Each drawer rides on heavy-duty metal runners, opening silently and closing with a soft, controlled finish. Engineered for thousands of cycles, even when fully loaded.
Matching Headboard
A coordinated 24-inch headboard is included at no extra cost. Upgrade to the 54-inch floor-standing option for a more commanding presence — both expertly finished in-house.
Every Athens bed is built to order in our Batley workshop. Frames are joined by hand, drawers fitted and finished in-house — nothing leaves until it meets our bench.

Yes. Every Almabeds product is tested and certified to fully comply with UK fire and safety standards.
02 • Can I request a specific delivery date?
Absolutely. At checkout you’ll find an order notes textarea — just type your preferred delivery date there and our dispatch team will confirm by email or SMS. We’ll do our best to match the exact day or the closest available slot.
03 • What payment methods do you accept?
We currently accept all major debit and credit cards, PayPal, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. All transactions are processed through secure, encrypted gateways for your peace of mind.
04 • Where are Almabeds made?
Every bed is handcrafted in West Yorkshire, in a region with a long legacy of quality furniture manufacturing.
05 • What does the 5-year guarantee cover?
Structural integrity and craftsmanship — including the frame, drawer runners, and overall build. Should you experience any issue within five years, our team arranges repair, replacement, or a suitable resolution.
This bed is assembled by hand in our West Yorkshire workshop and guaranteed against manufacturing defects for a period of five years from date of delivery.
